Tampa Bay Business Journal Recognizes Katie L. Butcher, CEO and Founder of B-Lynk, as One of This Years Up & Comers

(November 9, 2010) – Katie L. Butcher, CEO and Founder of B-Lynk, was selected by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of Tampa Bay's 2010 Up & Comers in the 30-39 year old category. An award dinner was hosted by TBBJ on Thursday, November 4, 2010 and attracted over 320 attendees. The annual award and dinner recognizes accomplished young professionals and business leaders in Tampa Bay.

Ms. Butcher began her career in the telecommunications industry and developed a strong working knowledge of BroadSoft and its platform called BroadWorks. Her experience in designing enterprise solutions, selling hosted seats, and deploying retail customers on the platform lead her to recognize an information gap that needed to be addressed between both the soft switch provider and the service provider, as well the service provider and end-customer. She believed that gap could be filled by structured, scalable training courses for both sales and internal staff in addition to customer end-users. B-Lynk now offers more than 20 courses and provides these solutions to service providers nationwide. These courses generate cost savings related to training, content management and content development, and also delivers increased customer satisfaction.

The company has seen a tremendous success this year in its ability to deliver valuable training courses and content to their providers. B-Lynk offers training either through interactive eLearning courses, training guides or webinar-based training sessions. The company recently launched Smart-Lynk which provides a managed content service for all of B-Lynk's eLearning training courses and expects to see increased demand for training services with the latest offerings that soft switch providers are releasing into the market.
